Description

We require an enthusiastic individual to join our shipping team to meet the demands of our production and shipping schedule.

Responsibilities will include:

Co-ordinate all shipments from and all deliveries to the company, including all the associated administration and records;

Take parts and whole goods enquiries, pick and package parts, dispatch and invoice;

Provide sales, purchasing and customers with freight estimates;

Arrange freight for all whole goods to and from the factory, field transfers and purchases;

Prepare all logistics documentation, including customs and other export document, bills of lading;

Enter data related to all actions mentioned, enter sales and purchase orders, and process receipts and credit notes;

Expedite incoming and outbound loads and shipments, nationally as well as internationally;

Assist Materials Manager in other purchasing,storage, and logistics tasks;

Co-operates in a cross functional manner as a customer service representative for parts inquiries and parts orders at customer requests and order updates. Inventory control, stock-taking, data-processing,yard and warehouse organization, safety and hygiene.  

The ideal candidate will have several years experience in a logistics, parts handling environment.  Training in computer programs associated with these job functions, proven analytical and communicant skills, and good references will further support a candidacy.
