Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting skilled Roofing Foremen/women (commercial) to fill 5+ F/T vacancies in the Saskatoon and surrounding area (134 Faithful Crescent, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7K 8H8).

The position of Roofing Foreman is a skilled role, in which the Foreman works with a team and provides the overall on-site administrative and technical management for a project, while ensuring the total constructive efforts are in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include:  

    Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials as well as roofing and metal products
    Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
    Supervise and assist with the installation of commercial and industrial Roofing applications (including Conventional 4 ply/built up roofing systems using asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel; Modified Bitumen (Mod-bit) roofing; single ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics or asphalt compositions)
      Ensure all on site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work and equipment maintenance rules, documents all violations, implements and recommends corrective actions as required
    Communicate all aspects of job status (i.e. extras, schedule delays, etc. with superintendents and project manager)

Qualifications Required:

    Minimum 5 years experience as a Roofer in the commercial construction industry OR completion of a two- to three-year apprenticeship program OR Journeyman/woman certificate OR Journeyman/woman certificate equivalent
    Previous experience in Foreman/woman role is preferred
    Completion of secondary school diploma OR secondary school diploma equivalent is preferred
    Intermediate English skills
