We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: PAVING FOREMAN

Summary:  

Coordinates labor and equipment resources on a daily basis to meet construction schedule as provided by construction superintendent and/or project manager. Successful applicant will monitor work in progress for accuracy of line & grade, sectional thickness, quality, and general conformance with specification requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Maintain a safe working environment for all activities on project;
    Direct and train asphalt laydown crew members on the correct processes, construction methods, and equipment operating procedures.
    Schedule materials, equipment, and tools in advanced to complete assigned task based on construction schedule as provided by construction superintendent and/or project manager.
    Facilitates communication between owner and project manager and/or construction superintendent.
    Read and interpret plans for purposes of construction compliance and dispute resolution.
    Resolve line and grade conflicts between plans and existing conditions with inspectors and/or owner.
    Fill out time cards correctly with labor, equipment, and quantities.
    Review costs and productions on a daily basis.

Requirements:
    Minimum of five years of related experience with direct responsibility for 10+ crew members.
    Working knowledge of asphalt pavers, compaction equipment, and mix designs required.
    Valid drivers license and clean driving history required.
    Required to operate paving equipment's
