JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Finance & Accounting functions as the propertys strategic financial business leader. As an active member of the executive team, this position provides the financial expertise to enable the hotel to operate successfully and responsibly within brand standards. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the property and brands business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Implements, monitors and ensures an understanding of new systems.
Develops and analyzes budget, strategic business plan and forecast.
Monitors and reports sales, compensation plan, productivity and expenses.
Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new business plans
Monitors and Implements a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks and ensures a strong environment to safeguard assets.
Leads and ensures the professional growth of the accounting team.
Communicate a clear, positive & consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
Attends meetings and communicating with the owners, understanding the priorities and strategic focus.
Manages property working capital and cash flow.
