The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a School Counsellor to provide support for students with diverse needs and will consult & collaborate with teachers / administrators/parents & other personnel/agencies to support student success at school.
Position Details:
Temp. Part-Time; possibility of becoming permanent
Assignment: Alternate days - 2 days/cycle at Churchbridge Public School; 1 day/cycle at Macdonald School in Stockholm
Term: March 1, 2016; expires June 30, 2016(possibility of becoming permanent)
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in a field of research related to Human Services, such as Social Work or Psychology, and three-five years related work experience an asset
Must work well with others & independently
The successful candidate will collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary student services team to develop consistent, research based practices that strive to support student learning and system improvement within a collaborative culture.
Salary and Benefits: The School Counsellor shall receive a salary of Class lll, lV or V on the STF grid from Step 1 to Step 8, plus benefits. Counsellors follow the GSSD school year calendar.
