Description

If you want to be key to the growth and sustainability of a large grain farm, come and be the resident agronomist for the Babich Farm, near Moose Jaw, SK. This new strategic position will provide leadership in agronomy for the farm and play a key role in the management of the 9 full time and 12 seasonal staff. You will be working on a farm with new machinery, great people, and the ability to be a leader in your field. You will have the power to use your agronomy skills and farm experience to make decisions and make an impact on a large agricultural operation.
This job will give you:
    Stability to practice your profession without sales goals;
    A great stable group of experienced farm workers;
    A shop that is more than what you would expect;
    An opportunity to try new methods to increase production;
    A great annual income, that recognizes the effort and time put in; and
    Working and living the farm life.
The best Farm Manager will be keen on implementing their agronomic knowledge for a stable land base and owner group, and get excited about developing a new strategic position. They will have an agronomy degree and have experience in the field. Understanding and enjoying the farm work is key. Mechanical knowledge is not critical, but would be an asset. However with the shop work, understanding how to set up systems and monitoring them is important. The best Farm Manager will have success in managing a variety of people especially those with a farm background and have the ability to work as a part of the leadership team. A drivers licence is required.
