The Health Careers Access Program instructor will provide instruction and tutorial support to adults registered in the program. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry , Sociology, Mathematics Foundations, Medical Terminologyand Workplace Skills. This position will also be required to facilitate training in areas such as time/stress management, self-esteem, problem solving, and career exploration. There may be a requirement to organize guest speakers, job shadowing opportunities, and other course components as required.
The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor of Education degree with a Saskatchewan Professional "A" Teaching Certificate, with a major in Science, and sucessful experience teaching Mathematics at a 30 level. An equivalent degree, with a combination of training and successful experience teaching would also meet the minimum qualifications for this position providing Saskatchewan Learning approves a probationary certificate. This position may also be require to meet SIAST approval. The preferred applicant will have teaching experience in a cross-cultural adult educational setting.
