Are you our next Team Member?
We are currently seeking a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic at our Colonsay, SK location. The successful candidate will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain plant mechanical equipment.

What will you be working on?
*Scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done. Interpreting drawings and sketches.
*Inspecting plant equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
*Determining the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
*Advising when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
*Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate mechanical equipment. Adjust and calibrate equipment for proper operating characteristics.
*Make either temporary or permanent repairs.
*Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, and running fits.
*Operate simple machine tools such as drill press, pipe-threading machine, power saw, etc.
*Babbit and scrape bearings as required.
*Erect scaffolds and perform rigging as necessary.

What is required for this role?
*A recognized, valid, Journeyman Industrial Mechanic's Certificate.
*Full knowledge of the safe utilization and care of power and hand tools.
*Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices.
*The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action.
