- Implement efficient storage methods, yielding ready accessibility of parts/materials, permitting efficient space utilization and flexibility of arrangement, minimizes material deterioration and allows ease of physical inventory
- Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete
- Receive work orders and coordinate parts for shop and external customers
- Picking and sorting of parts
- Maintain/update material list used for internally manufactured product lines
- Match product with purchase orders
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory using a computerized inventory management system
- Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
- Manually move freight, stock or other materials
- Unload, inspect and receive incoming freight
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Pick up and deliveries as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Able to operate loader, forklift and bobcat
- Ability to comprehend detailed instructions orally and in writing in English
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Able to work well under pressure when required to meet deadlines
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Forklift operators certificate an asset
- Have some experience of stock control
- Computer experience
Work Conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Overtime as required
- Will be exposed to manufacturing shop-floor
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
