The employee will be required to do a variety of jobs on the farm, but operating equipment will be the primary requirement. Since this job is only for the harvest season (August 10-October 1), the duties will include operating a combine, a tractor towing a grain cart, or running a semi truck. Other duties may include swathing, cleaning bins, and general repair of farm equipment. Previous experience operating heavy farm equipment is required, and a Class 1A driver's license is an asset. As a part of a harvesting team, good communication skills are required. Days at harvest may be long, and the employee must be willing to stay working in the field until the day is finished.
