JOB SUMMARY
As an integral member of the Finance Team, the Financial Analyst will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Financial Analyst will assist in all phases of operation. The position will require demonstration of competencies for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect impact on production, safety, legality and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information in coordination with the VP Finance
Record and maintain fixed asset purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization schedules
Maintain overall responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable and inventory
Process employee expense reports
Provide support in compilation of annual and periodic budget information
Prepare variance analysis to budget and forecast
Complete monthly cash flow analysis
Prepare and reconcile monthly Tax Compliance including Annual Corporate Tax Filings and Monthly Sales Tax Filings.
Reconcile all corporate banking transactions
Prepare monthly and annual closing reports
Booking of all cost invoices, accruals, etc. (
EXPERIENCE
5 years SAP experience
5 year's experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
Procurement experience an asset
EDUCATION
Bachelor'ss Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
(MBA or CMA) will be an asset
