The Mine Site Clerk performs administrative duties requiring initiative, independence and confidentiality in mining-related project administration.
Perform, facilitate and support activities for a variety of tasks related to the efficient operations of an minesite project, including but not limited to:
o Issuing Purchase Reqs for acquisition of goods or materials required onsite.
o Process all tasks according to payroll, invoicing and month-end deadlines, ensuring there is coverage for these tasks when absent
o Perform accounting tasks efficiently in Global with minimal assistance, including entering time against jobs
o Setup minesite storage of information for the mining projects, in a manner that information is easily retrievable by others
Clerical Mining Assistance
o Take onsite meeting minutes and distribute to attendees and others, as requested
o Field calls from customers and act as an onsite liaison with vendors and customers on projects
o Assist project superintendents on the required site forms that need to be submitted to head office and teach them how to use the computers, etc.
o This position will travel to head office as required by project needs
o Knowledge of contract and daily event to identify to the superintendent possible out of scope activities
o Assist Superintendent and Safety Coordinator with all reporting to ensure all necessary report are being completed and submitted appropriately
