The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is now hiring a Summer Fun camp programmer/lifeguard who will augment the execution of a day camp style program for children aged 5-7 and youth 8-11 years old, with an emphasis on meeting the unique needs of Canadian Forces Families.
Qualified candidate will:
Be a grade 12 or post-secondary student continuing with full-time post-secondary education in the fall.
Have current CPR Level C and Standard First Aid qualifications.
Have current National Lifeguard Service (NLS)- pool option qualification.
Have previous experience working with children and youth.
Be able to work with minimum supervision.
Have good organization skills and communication skills.
Aboriginal Students will be given priority.
Additional Assets:
Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) Certificate
Working knowledge of French
Responsibilities
Help with the set up and execution of programs for children ages 5-11.
Ensure safety of all participants while in the pool facility.
Work as a team member with other students.
