Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for being the eyes and ears of SiriusXM at the vendor site for all uplink development systems and programs.Focus on ensuring proper testing and validation of all requirements and bug fixes, including complete oversight of any release prior to any operational deployment.Write and maintain regression test plans and procedures. Review such procedures with engineering staff members within SiriusXM and the contracted vendor.
Provide feedback to SiriusXM on the progress of contracted projects, including potential areas for schedule delay or advancement.
Actively stress-test the readiness of releases and features for all sub systems.Participate and actively contribute to all phases of systems development including the design, test, and deployment.Work with the SiriusXM engineering and operations to ensure operational readiness for the deployment of software releases, including the associated documentation.
Maintain all generated documentation via established guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Minimum Bachelor level degree in engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Must have legal right to work in Canada.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing projects and systems.
Experience working in a 24 X 7, critical operations environment preferred.
Requirements and General Skills:
Willingness to work by providing 24 X 7, on-call support as needed.
Must have legal right to work in Canada.
Moderate travel is required, within the US and Canada, and infrequent other international travel.  Must have valid passport.
Technical Skills:
Functional knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project.
