We are presently seeking a part time Receptionist with the possibility of full time employment.
General Duties:
- Dealing with clients and the public on a consistent and professional basis
- Answering phones
- opening and closing files and file management
- scheduling appointments
- Entering and managing data on office accounting software
- Picking up, sorting and distributing mail
- Bank deposits
- General office duties
- Client file tasks as assigned
- Typing and preparation of a variety of legal documents and correspondence
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent people skills
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and Windows environment
- Familiarity with office equipment such as scanner, photocopier, Dictaphone, facsimile
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize assignments in a fast paced environment
- Strong time management and problem solving abilities
- Ability to think independently with particular attention to detail and accuracy
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a law firm environment and some
post-secondary training in office/paralegal/administration although a combination of experience and training will be considered
- familiarity with PCLaw or other accounting software is also an asset
