The Position

Reporting to the Post Design Services Manager, the Field Reviewer (Structures) is responsible for providing assistance in the field coordination of constructed works with design staff.

Key Accountabilities:

have the same access to the Site, in order to determine whether or not the Works are in compliance with the Design Data;
review the reports of any inspection and testing performed by other qualified persons which pertain directly to the work being reviewed;
confirm that design changes required in the field have been forwarded to the appropriate Engineer of Record for review and acceptance;
record any changed conditions encountered, observations made, and deficiencies found during Site visits;
provide the Coordinating Professional Engineer, Engineer of Record, and the Ministry Representative with a written report of any Non-Conformances observed; and
upon completion of Construction Activities, sign and seal the Construction Certificate.

Education & Certification:  
Four year technical diploma in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree
Possess Saskatchewan P Eng certification or ability to obtain within six months

Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in a transportation construction environment
Knowledge of the design and/or construction of transportation works mandatory

Competencies and Attributes:
Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
Computer literate in a Windows environment.
