Description

The successful candidate must be analytical, know how to work within a team-oriented environment and should be highly proficient with MS Office products such as Excel and Word. The Contracts & Procurement Assistant will be responsible for assisting the contracts and procurement team, administering Master Supply Agreements, managing Labour/Equipment/Materials (LEMs), general filing, meeting minutes, reporting and performing general administrative and clerical duties in a courteous and professional manner.  

The expectation for this role is that the incumbent will be working onsite at the DMC Mining Services Jansen project on a 5/2 (Monday to Friday) rotational schedule for a contract period of up to 24 months.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures completion of all necessary paper work related to tracking Labour Equipment Materials (LEMs) for our subcontractors
Auditing invoicing from subcontractors
Ensuring proper routing and authorization of authorization of documents
Maintain supplier and subcontractor information, including but not limited to insurance, WCB and general company information
Record meeting minutes with subcontractors and suppliers
Assist with putting together contract close-out packages
Assist with the preparation of bid and contract documents
Provide detailed reporting as requested
Assist with the development of tools for tracking and managing contracts and purchase orders, including Master Supply Agree
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Have a High School Diploma.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Have at least 3 years of previous work experience within similar roles and with similar responsibilities are a definite asset.
Possess good written and oral communication skills and able to multitask.
Be able to work within a team-oriented environment.
Highly proficient with MS Office products specifically Excel and Word.
Have the ability to analyze and process information in a professional and courteous manner.
