Pet Planet Prince Albert is currently accepting applicants for the position of Pet Ambassador.
Pet Planet Ambassadors strive to educate, and connect guests with those products and services that improve the lives of their pets. In addition to working in a healthy and positive environment, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual pursuing a career in nutrition, health sciences, or veterinary care to gain valuable real world experience.
The successful candidates will be responsible for customer service, store maintenance, product merchandising and stocking, while adhering to, and upholding our core standards and philosophies.
Desired qualifications include:
A genuine love for animals
Superior customer service skills
Hours - Must be flexible; must be available evenings & weekends
Have a passion and good knowledge for pet health and safety
Be able to confidently convey their knowledge to customers on the floor
Build customer relationships using knowledge of products and services
Ensure the core philosophy of education on domestic pet issues & quality pet nutrition is effectively conveyed to customers
Ensure all shelves are clean and dusted, including all stock on the shelves
Keep floor exceptionally clean
Lift, carry and rotate loads of at least 40 Lbs
willing to learn pet nutrition
self-motivated
energetic
Must be able to work independently
Previously or currently pursuing a degree, and/ or an accredited certification in nutrition, health sciences, veterinary care, homeopathic medicine, or other related field would be an asset, but not required.
As an Ambassador of Pet Planet, you will be expected to adhere to all company standards, policies and procedures, including but not limited to dress code, codes of conduct, sales and service levels and daily operational functions
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience either working in a retail environment or working with pets/animals.
