Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
-Ability to prepare and complete working papers, Notice To Reader Financial Statements and tax returns according to firm and regulatory standards;
-Bookkeeping, including preparation of adjusting journal entries, preparation of bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, Rental Analysis, calculation of depreciation, income tax accruals, various analysis and reconciliation of inter-company accounts;
-Preparation of tax returns (T1, T2 & T3) including tax and regulatory forms (T4, T5, T4A, GST, PST & WCB);
-Assist on investment company engagements (dealing with portfolios, handling dividends, capital gains and the corresponding T3 and T5 work);
-Other duties, special projects and Ad-hoc reporting to be performed as required.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
-Strong accounting and tax skills;
-Deal with Canada Revenue Agency & Corporate Registry;
-Knowledge of Caseware/Sage/Cantax/MS Office is a must;
-1-2 years experience in preparation of Financial Statements.
