Metis Family and Community Justice Services of Saskatchewan Inc. (MFCJS) is a justice and family services non-profit organization.

Metis Family and Community Justice Services of Saskatchewan Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of a 1/2 time Community Justice Worker and 1/2 Aboriginal Courtworker combined to full-time position.  The Saskatoon Community Justice Worker will be responsible for the provision of adult alternative measures.  The Aboriginal Courtworker will be responsible to perform duties in Provincial court in Saskatoon, Beardy?s Okemasis, Blaine Lake and Rosthern.

Qualified Candidates must:
-Have a degree and/or knowledge in the justice field or equivalent of (3) years experience in the area of justice;
-Have a sound knowledge of Alternative measures/Restorative Justice;
-Be of Aboriginal Ancestry
-Provide a recent Criminal Records Check with application;
-Possess excellent communication skills, writing skills and the ability to work independently;
-Hold a valid driver?s license
-Provide (1) character reference and (3) previous employment references

Hours of Work:  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Training will be provided in the areas of alternative measures and restorative justice and Aboriginal Courtworker according to the Saskatchewan Justice Training Schedule.  Travel expenses provided.
