This position requires a driver to complete day trips throughout the province with a 5 ton company vehicle. The driver is responsible for delivering products to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on-time and accurately.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Driving company manufactured and produced products within the greater Saskatoon and surrounding areas within the province
- Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation
- Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications
- Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for
- Able to work flexible or extended hours, which may be required from time to time
Required Skill
- Mechanical inclination
- Warehouse experience is an asset
- Current TDG/WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset
- Ability to use power loading equipment
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Good communication skills required (able to read, write and speak English)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and reliable
- Good decision making skills and ability to work independently
- Able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Required Experience
- High school graduate and/or related experience.
- Valid Class 5 license
- Clean Drivers Abstract
