Description

Transportation supervisor should be able to monitor the fleet to run efficiently and accomplish all goals set by the Company. Must  be a team player and work closes with repair shop supervisor and safety manager to effectively run the fleet.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation day to day activities of transportation. Manage, supervise and monitor fleet operations
- Constantly communicating with the drivers to make sure all delivers are made on time and willing to travel in case of emergency to assist drivers
- Make necessary arrangements for tows or repairs of vehicles on the road
- Ensure the safe running of the vehicles and notify the shop supervisor of any repair issues
- Assist in training new drivers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Should be able to guide the drivers to chose the most economical route, make them aware of any weight restriction on the roads
- Must have good communication skills. In any delay on scheduled appointments, transportation supervisor must able to notify the customer and handle loading and unloading appointments.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve performance
- Prepare work reports and budgets and monitor expenditures

NOTE:  Speaking Punjabi or Hindi language will be an asset.

Education: Secondary school or equivalent

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience and class 1 licence
