Under the supervision of the Director of Children's Housing, the Case Coordinator develops and implements programs that positively impact and benefit children, aged 0-12, who reside in our residential facilities. This position works in collaboration with child support staff and the Manager to create a team environment and is responsible for all aspects of case management and case planning.
This is a full-time, permanent position for 37.5 hours/week including 1 on-call weekend every 5 weeks.
This position will work with Child Support Workers to develop age appropriate programming for children;
Maintain current knowledge of relevant program development and evaluation tools;
Ensure that the proper care, supervision and safety is provided to each child;
Ensure case planning and management as outlined by the children's MSS worker is implemented and followed;
Ensure there is documentation of the children on each shift;
Coordinate case conferencing;
Act as a resource to staff in program and activity development;
Promote a positive productive work and learning environment;
Work with the Director in planning for current and long-range objectives for each child.
Qualifications
A working knowledge of program needs, development and implementation, ability to provide leadership in a team environment, strong problem solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, ability to deal with high stress situations, excellent presentation and negotiation skills, ability to work effectively with a supervisory team and the Director;
A degree and/or five years experience working in the Human Services field;
Extensive knowledge of case management and case planning practices;
A sound knowledge of child development;
A sound knowledge of human behavior and counseling theories;
Must be able to pass required security clearances, have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
