Production Accounting is a unique blend of accounting, regulatory, data analysis and reporting of revenues and royalties. The information that the Production Accountant produces is critical to company operations, management and financial reporting. It is the juncture where operational data is translated into financial bookings.
Job Responsibilities
Production
Gather, input, calculate and analyze monthly volumetric data and confirm pipeline deliveries;
Enter inventories and sales into production accounting systems;
Communicate volumetric activities and product splits to owners, producers and purchasers and submissions to government agencies;
Calculate and book revenues and royalties;
Provide analysis, advice and reporting to management.
Distribution
Input revenue into production accounting system;
Prepare an upload to financial accounting system;
Manage GL, bank reconciliations, account receivables, DOIs, facility setups and changes;
Run revenue reports for working interest owners;
Manage payment of revenues to working interest owners and suppliers.
Education requirements are a University Diploma or a Bachelor Degree, preferably in Accounting.
