Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan is a farmer- run organization representing turkey producers in Saskatchewan. We ensure that Saskatchewan consumers have access to a safe, consistent supply of high quality produced turkey.
Reporting to the TFS Board, the successful candidate will have proven experience working with a high degree of independence, outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; be thorough, accurate and detail oriented.
The applicant must have:
a general understanding of Agriculture
knowledge of office administrative procedures, policy and protocols, records management, filing systems, office equipment and computer applications (QuickBooks and Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet & database applications)
eagerness to learn, with a great attitude is a must
a valid drivers license, legal working status and be bondable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating meetings for Board of Directors and others as delegated.
Recording meeting minutes, preparing required documents for delegated meetings
participating in a variety of projects and providing oversight to budgets,
establishing and maintaining electronic filing systems
Bookkeeping duties such as receiving payments, preparing invoices, and reconciling bank and credit card statements
The knowledge and abilities required for this position would typically be obtained through completion of an Agriculture/ Business Degree or equivalent with two or more years of work experience.
Travel will be required.
