Principal duties and responsibilities include:
    Provide leadership and direction to key departments: Operations, Safety, Training, Maintenance, and Accounting
    Assist in the development of operational budgets and forecasts
    Investigate and initiate change to improve operations systems and procedures
    Recruit, manage, supervise and direct personnel
    Supervise and delegate responsibilities of personnel, ensuring all routes are covered in the most equitable and efficient manner.
    Assist with driver performance issues by supervising and supporting the training officer.
    Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure adequate numbers and sizes of units are available to cover all routes
    Oversee fleet maintenance needs and initiate immediate repair
    Set-up and input data for driver payroll
    Prepare monthly billing
    Meet monthly with Drivers Reps to discuss issues brought up by drivers
    Handle public and driver inquiries, hostile or complimentary, demonstrating empathy, and professionalism
    Represent the company at school board meetings, and with the media
    Establish and maintain strong working relationships

Requirements
    Post-secondary education with emphasis on Management; or equivalent experience
    3+ years operations and management experience with strength in decision making
    Knowledge of WCB and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
    Knowledge of budgeting and financial statements
    Exceptional organizational, analytic problem solving, and diplomacy skills
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office
