Grade 10-12 Math & Science (all grades) Teacher

Nakoda Oyade Education Centre/School (NOEC) is seeking a caring, energetic and collaborative educator for a full time teaching position.
The NOEC in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan and is located on the Carry The Kettle First Nation. The school is a designated K-12 community school with approximately 230 students. Carry The Kettle is located approximately one hour east of Regina, Saskatchewan

The successful candidate will be responsible for excellent teaching practices in Science for all Grades and Grade 10-12 Math and will be committed to ensuring success for all students. Proven experience in ensuring academic, social and emotional and physical growth will be valued. Excellence in developing close relationships with students, staff and parents will be of importance. As well, the ability to integrate the Nakoda culture into the teaching practices. The ideal candidate will strive to develop a spirit of First Nations community among pupils and colleagues. Models a lifestyle that is consistent with the principles of the Nakoda. Display creativity and flexibility within their teaching style and are consistent with the beliefs of the Nakoda. They will need to have the skills and ability to meet students at a variety of learning levels. The successful candidate should be willing to involve themselves in school wide initiatives and take on leadership roles as opportunities arise.
