Description

Nakoda Oyade Education Centre/School (NOEC) is seeking a caring, energetic and collaborative educator for a full time grade one position.

The NOEC in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan and is located on the Carry The Kettle First Nation. The school is a designated K-12 community school with approximately 230 students. Carry The Kettle is located approximately one hour east of Regina, Saskatchewan.

The Principal, possessing a good understanding of the values, beliefs, political structure and protocols of the community, acts as the Senior Executive Manager of Nakoda Oyade Education Centre.  Administrative and supervisory responsibilities shall be performed at One Hundred (100%) such responsibilities shall be  under the rules and regulations of the Carry the Kettle First Nation Personnel Policy and the Nakoda Oyade Education Centre Policy Manual -- policies fully endorsed and authorized by the Carry the Kettle First Nation Chief and Council.  
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Principal of NOEC is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the school; ensuring that that all students are instructed, assessed and supported in a safe and welcoming learning environment. They work collaboratively with all school staff in the development of the schools learning improvement plan to ensure that it is aligned with the Carry The Kettle First Nations cultural and traditional values. Ensure the creation and implementation of school policies, regulations, procedures for financial and procedural administration, scheduling, extracurricular activities, emergency operations, facilities management and the management. They will also serve as a role model and assist staff and community in creating a top quality educational experience that is culturally based for all students. Other duties will be assigned as required.
