Job Description: The Home Care Manager, under the general direction of the Director of Home Care is responsible for the overall management of the home care program within the geographic assessment area assigned.  

As a team leader the Home Care Manager will direct the Home Care staff in the most cost-effective manner to deliver the following programs:  nursing care, personal care, home management services, meals on wheels, lifeline and wellness services.  The Home Care Manager is also accountable for all in office staff as well as supervising, evaluating and directing field staff in clients' homes.  Other managerial functions will include but may not be limited to, case management, assessing client needs, hospital discharge planning, developing and coordinating care plans as well as being the clients advocate, overseeing scheduling, billing, payroll functions.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Experience in Home Care.
Experience in administrative or supervisory capacity an asset.
A suitable combination of training and experience may be considered.

Excellent leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access)
Ability to be proactive and creative in decision making in the absence of direct supervision
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
