Job Description: Reporting to the manager of the ABI Outreach Team, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing casemanagment services for clients of the ABI Outreach Team as well as diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services. This position entails provision of services to both the ABI Outreach Team and to the Adult Speech and Language Centre.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA)
Experience
Preference given to applicants with at least one(1) year of clinical experience working with acquired brain injury clients, rehabilitation, case management, and community assessment and intervention.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Other Information
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the Saskatoon Health Region and its affiliated agencies
Previous experience working with acquired brain injury, rehabilitation and community intervention preferred. Previous experience in the area of adult communication disorders would be an asset.
