Description

Brandt Developments has a position available for a Platform Lead - Electrical at the Regina location.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare conceptual and detailed design layouts, sketches, and specifications which meet Brandts needs using BIM technology and which, comply with best of practice standards.
Provide input to proposals, feasibility studies, design criteria, reports, preliminary design and electrical specifications.
Review, evaluate, and improve upon electrical designs, details, schematics and specifications.
Aspire to continuous improvement, while mentoring, monitoring and supporting interdisciplinary project team members.
Provide feedback and advice regarding the technical and sustainable aspects of projects.
Collaborate with other Divisions of Brandt to ensure project success.
Liaison with Client, Authorities, Contractors
Provide leadership and direction to technologist team members to develop in-house expertise and methodologies
Assist in the maintenance and development of project schedules, budget, content and quality control of drawings and specifications through to substantial completion of the projects
Travel as required to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.

Qualifications:

Registered P. Eng or eligible for registration with provincial engineering associations.
Must have knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of building systems
10+ years of design experience in electrical engineering and design preferably in a consulting environment with direct interaction with clients and responsibility for engineering project performance.
5+ years of relevant Canadian experience
Knowledge of Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Regulations and Standards.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit required.
