Description

This is a supervisory position reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the highest quality of cleanliness within the hotel by assisting and coordinating the housekeeping operations in accordance with Country Inn & Suites standards, mustbe able to work on their own and as a part of the team and have the ability to deal with all levels of management in a professional manner.  They must ensure that a healthy and safe work environment is maintained; prepare maintenance request forms as needed; maintain an excellent working relationship with colleagues, utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction; conduct room checks and quality evaluations. This position is for weekends and statutory holidays (Saturdays and Sundays) and call in Monday- Friday as needed.

Responsibilities (abbreviated)
Efficiently inspects clean & dirty guest rooms keeping within department standards
Conduct opening and closing procedures
All other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager

Experience and Skills (abbreviated)
MUST HAVE UNION ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCE !!
Minimum five years experience as a Room Attendant preferred
Supervisory experience 2-4 years
Conduct that reflects the values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Entrepreneurship
A demonstrated high level of understanding of current forms of technology and its application
Able to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50  lbs
Bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, standing, and reaching on a regular basis
Demonstrated proficiency in the following competencies:service orientation, affiliative communication, achievement oriented, adaptability, accountability, positional expertise, initiative.
