Description
The Village of Dinsmore, SK, is looking for an experienced and professional heavy duty mechanic to start their own business within the community. This unique opportunity-of-a-lifetime will allow you to manage your own business, be your own boss, work your own hours, set your own customer rates, set up a parts distribution centre, and thrive in a peaceful, rural Saskatchewan setting.
The Village is able and willing to guide, where applicable, the right candidate towards housing (renting or building), and acquisition of property for their mechanic shop (construction of new facility or purchase of pre-existing establishment). The Village will not be able to contribute to business registration, acquiring insurance, or equipping the facility.
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting, perform diagnostics, repairing and properly completing maintenance on all customer equipment (i.e. agriculture equipment and semi-trucks)
Willing and able to work on anything that comes through the doors
Provide excellent customer service relations and pride in quality workmanship
Ensure work facilities are kept neat and tidy, visually appealing to the community
Adhere to all environmental, municipal and provincial by-laws and laws
Requirements
5 10 years previous experience in agriculture equipment or heavy duty vehicle trade, rebuilding and repairing diesel engine platforms
Must hold a valid Journeyperson qualification as Heavy Duty Mechanic, Diesel Engine Mechanic, Agriculture Equipment Mechanics or Commercial Transport & Transport Mechanic
Motivated to start your own business, previous business operations is an asset
Knowledge of insurance liabilities
Valid credit rating, able to receive bank loans
Must have a valid Drivers License
Willingness to relocate to Dinsmore, SK
