The City of North Battleford is seeking qualified individuals to compete for a position as a Full-time Fire Fighter with the Citys Fire Department. Successful candidates will be eligible to respond to call backs for response to incidents, the conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement will apply.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to, and working as a member of a team, mitigates emergencies involving fires, dangerous goods incidents and emergency rescue work; performs fire prevention and inspection duties as assigned, maintains fire department apparatus and facility; participates in required training and performs other duties as assigned.
To be eligible for a position you need to possess the following qualifications:
- Grade 12, post-secondary education
- NFPA 1001 Level II IFSAC and/or ProBoard
- NFPA 1002 - IFSAC and/or ProBaord
- NFPA 472 Operations
- NFPA 1002 Aerial Certification preferred; IFSAC and/or ProBoard
- NFPA 1051 Wildland Firefighter
- ICS 100
- EMT/PCP Certification from an accredited institution is considered an asset
- NFPA 1035 Level 1, NFPA 1031 Level 1 & 11, NFPA 1006 NFPA 1041, ICS 200 would be considered an asset.
