Position Overview:
The successful candidate will join SAMAs Assessment Services Division in this full-time, 12 month term position. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the incumbent is a member of the North Battleford Assessment Team that is responsible for the application of assessment methods and procedures in the valuation of agricultural land and urban properties throughout the North Battleford area.
Responsibilities:
Apply recognized valuation approaches to determine the values of agricultural and non-agricultural land, single-family and multi-family dwellings, duplexes, apartments, commercial, and light industrial properties
Input and process collected valuation data into the Agency's mass appraisal computer system
Research and respond to enquiries from the general public and government officials
The Candidates:
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan or other recognized university with a major in Soil Sciences, Agronomy, or Agricultural Economics. You must also be registered or eligible for registration as an Articling Agrologist or Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
All applicants must also possess excellent public relations and communication skills, sound decision making skills, the ability to exercise good judgment, and have an intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and its' software. A valid class five (5) driver's license is required.
