PLANNING
The planner is accountable for developing installation packages from design documentation and reviewing with foremen to ensure a complete understanding of the daily and weekly activities required to meet project goals.
Responsible for creating a project schedule using MS Project, as well as provide regular reporting on manufacturing status
Research and assign project times and due dates on construction as needed and document during the releasing process
Coordinate with departments as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding the project
Monitor quality and advise what corrective actions as needed
Assist with take-off of material and labour from drawings
Act as a project liaison between the client, subcontractors, and project team
Monitor progress and schedules of others trades to ensure our workflow is accommodated
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge:
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience on electrical construction projects as a journeyman tradesperson.
Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory experience
Multi-discipline construction field experience is important
Completed Construction Safety Training Systems
Completed a formal supervisory training program
Completed Leadership for Safety Excellence
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Project
Organizational skills in order to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site Environment
Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Abilities:
Ability to read schedules and scheduling curves/reports
Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
