Description

The Prince Albert Police Service invites applications for a permanent Systems Programmer. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, the Systems Programmer is responsible and accountable for the provision of effective, accurate and timely support for the following:

-Development and maintenance of Internet and Intranet websites and services.
-Ensure compatibility and ease of accessibility of systems.
-Statistic retrieval, analysis and presentation of internal Records Management System statistics.
-Database creation and maintenance.
-Design and implement technical solutions for related applications and services.
-Participate and contribute to discussions related to innovation and enhancements to existing and future projects.
-Excellent communication and team building skills
-Availability for after hours and weekend call outs when required.

The Systems Programmer provides services consistent with the policies, standards, legal requirements, philosophy and mission of the Prince Albert Police Service. Candidates must have a University Degree with a major in computer science or a Diploma in computer science or related field, supplemented with a minimum of 5 years experience.
