The Office Administrator position supports a wide variety of institute administrative operations in a prompt and professional manner. The incumbent will establish and maintain office systems, supplies, mail procedures and institute databases, while ensuring compliance with administrative procedures including records management, records destruction and file maintenance.
Administrative Support & Office Coordination
Provide professional administrative support to the Director and Vice-President, as well as backup coverage in order to support the accomplishment of department objectives
Maintain the calendars of the Director and Vice President to ensure clear communication, transparency of schedules, book meetings as necessary, and ensure double bookings do not occur
Ensure the Director and / or Vice-President is prepared for all commitments
Review, prepare, and issue documents and reports for Director and Vice President
Establish and maintain efficient, effective and detailed electronic and physical filing systems

Required Qualifications and Experience: Successful completion of an administrative, or business related certificate or diploma, combined with a minimum of three years of administrative office experience. An excellent understanding of administrative processes and procedures. Knowledge of First Nations culture and organizations would be an asset
