Description

We are looking for an In Room Dining Server for the WildSage Kitchen & Bar located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
The primary role of the IRD attendant is to deliver food and beverages to the guestrooms as requested. The IRD will be responsible for ensuring orders are delivered in a timely manner, are hot and 100% to guest request. This position will cover the Buffet Porter position when necessary or extra coverage is required.


Duties & Responsibilities:
- Exhibit strong menu, beverage, and wine knowledge.
- Keeps the chefs and managers informed of any issues that might affect quality of service or timing.
- Performs additional responsibilities to help the Dining Room and Hotel function efficiently.
- Able to multi-task and handle high volume service demands
- Adhere to all Hilton expectations of standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures the timing and flow of service is correctly paced

Required Education & Qualifications:
- min 19 years of age
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience is required

Food and Beverage Serving Skills
 - Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
 - Describe menu items including daily specials for customers

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
 - Food Safe Certificate

 - Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
 - Balance cash and record sales

 - Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
