The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing marketing and administrative assistance to the Marketing and Communications Department in order to support the accomplishment of business activities. This position includes the following range of accountabilities:
Assist with corporate promotions, marketing and promotional templates, internal communications, and communication initiatives through the use of various media
Provide assistance with the organization and indexing of corporate photos
Scanning, organizing, and indexing documents
Assisting in the writing and production of a How to Apply video for Learning Services
Assist with the marketing aspects of SIIT website and social media outlets
Provide assistance in research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs and initiatives

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Must have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intends to return to school on a full-time basis in the fall of 2016. Must be prompt, reliable, and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior experience working with Microsoft Office suite of programs is required. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is an asset. Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions is considered an asset. Please state the competition number in your cover letter.
