The R.M. of Longlaketon No. 219 invites applicants for a part-time position of planner. Working independently from home may be considered. This position may increase to a full time position depending on the progress of a proposed potash mine in our area. Responsibilities will comprise of the handling of administration and operation of land use planning for the municipality which includes processing and review of development and building permit applications; responding to inquiries from the public, staff and council; reviewing of subdivision applications; drafting and processing zoning bylaw amendments, etc. The applicant should be a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute (SPPI).
