Description

The Opportunity
This full-time permanent position is your chance to really make a difference where you can match your events coordination experience and passion while having a daily impact on patients, their families and the medical teams who care for them at Royal University Hospital.

The Royal University Hospital Foundation is seeking a dynamic individual to join our professional team to help strengthen donor, volunteer and other stakeholder commitment in healthcare philanthropy.

The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing events for Royal University Hospital Foundation, including signature events (Greek Gourmet Feast, Celebrity Golf Classic and Royal Ball), as well as third-party, special and donor events (Donor Grand Rounds; recognition, scholarship/granting, campaign launches, celebrations and other Foundation events), as well as merchandising promotion.

In this collaborative role, you will have primary responsibility to secure sponsorships, work closely with volunteers and recognize donor relationships to the RUH Foundation through event planning, delivery and evaluation, while playing a role in donor cultivation and stewardship. And as a relationship builder, you will support and be involved in internal initiatives that enhance the culture of philanthropy at RUH and within the Saskatoon Health Region.

You are encouraged to apply if you are passionate, energetic and interested in making a difference. Our ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or post-secondary education and equivalent experience.  Previous experience in special event management, with a minimum of three years in a fundraising environment, is considered an asset.  As a strong communicator, you will have proven project management skills and effective communication and writing skills. Previous work or volunteer involvement in the not-for-profit, charitable sector will be an asset.
