Senior Electrical Engineer
Visionpool Talent is working with a successful, rapidly growing, multi-discipline engineering firm with offices in Winnipeg, Regina, Toronto and Thunder Bay. They are a multi-discipline firm capable of providing engineering services from all disciplines and aggressively adopt leading edge technical tools to maintain a high degree of competence in the consulting industry.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will be responsible for project management and direction on electrical design. The position will also be responsible for
Electrical systems design, including; HV substations, MV switchgear, MV and LV motor control and protection
Power system calculations, including; short circuit studies, relay coordination, arc flash studies and harmonic analysis
Electrical specifications, including; equipment and construction
Vendor shop drawing reviews
Project coordination meetings with other discipline leads and clients
Proposal preparation including; design methodology, scope of work and services, man-hour estimates and schedules
Mentoring to intermediate level engineers will also be required
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 25 years of experience on industrial, utility and municipal projects
Current Professional Engineering status in a province with eligibility for registration in the Province of Saskatchewan
Demonstrated experience in large projects
Demonstrated ability to prepare effective technical reports and proposals
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with instrumentation and controls would be an asset
Experience in a consulting environment would be an asset

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
