Description

Primetals Technologies Limited, located at Building No.11, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5YA, United Kingdom,  has been retained by a Canadian client to design, manufacture, install and commission industrial processing equipment.  The clients operations are located at 100 Armour Road, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 3C7.
THE ROLE:  LEVEL 2 AUTOMATION SUPERVISOR  COOLING SECTION SPECIALIST
The role will primarily be the supervisor to oversee the commissioning of electrical and automation systems at its clients site, involving an advisory role coordinating with the clients supervisory, operating and installation teams regarding the process and automation construction site elements of our project contracts. It will involve working with multinational teams of both clients across all levels. This is a project-based role for an 8 month term based at our clients operations in Regina, Saskatchewan.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and commission of the cooling section software, testing all implemented functions.
Facilitate cold, hot and loaded commissioning activities
Visually inspect the E&A installations, check technically its suitable for installation of equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Siemens FitBack system
Siemens CIS HMI .NET programming
University Diploma or Certificate in Automation and Robotics
5 years experience
C++ programming
Parameter optimisation tool for Primetals cooling section automation
SIPRAISE API

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be able to work for periods of 4 to 12 weeks at a time, inc. periods of 7 day weekend working, shift working and attending short notice or emergency visits.
This role is expected on site from the beginning to the end of July 2016 and then again from October 2016 to January 2017.
The hourly rate is CAD$46.00-$49.00.  Other benefits inc. paid return travel from the workers home location, accommodation, subsistence allowance, vacation, dental, pension, extended medical insurance.
