Description

Responsibilities and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Develop lasting relationships with the community of financial advisors throughout Saskatchewan that deal directly with SaskWorks Venture Fund;
- Interact with trade organizations that are relevant to the business of PFM or SaskWorks;
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact with prospective shareholders and financial services providers;
- Meet with investment advisors and other stakeholders throughout Saskatchewan, with significant travel being necessary;
- Establish and manage relationships with various external service providers including advertising agencies, back office support services and others as required;
- Interface with back-office support to solve advisor and dealer related inquiries or issues;
- Work with legal counsel to ensure all funds remain compliant with applicable regulations and securities laws; and,
- Contribute to budget management of the investor relations function.
The successful candidate will:
- Have superior written and verbal communication skills
- Have an interest in working in the finance industry
- Be comfortable in social settings and highly personable, sales experience will be an asset
- Have completed a university business degree and experienced in the implementation of investor relations, communications and sales strategies in a performance-driven environment.
- Possess the necessary financial acumen to successfully manage relationships within the investment community. At least two years of financial services experience would be preferred
- Knowledge of securities laws, compliance and governance best practices will be considered an asset, as will experience managing continuous disclosure obligations.
