Description

The scope of this position involves logical and physical security as it relates to the safeguarding of assets within SaskTel. Accountable for the protection of SaskTel's systems, networks, people and properties through prevention, detection, investigation and recovery activities. Accountable for safeguarding assets owned by SaskTel or entrusted to SaskTel by its clients through the orderly introduction, deployment and maintenance of appropriate security programs and strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accountable to provide security consulting to the organization by reviewing system and physical security related security plans throughout SaskTels systems, networks, and physical assets.
2. Develops, establishes and implements security policies and standards while remaining effective and aligned with and reflecting industry and corporate priorities.
3. Accountable for meeting law enforcement, internal and external customer and emergency demands or enquiries on a 7/24/365 basis.
4. Accountable to develop, implement, perform and maintain a risk assessment and security review process for logical and physical assets deemed critical to SaskTel.
5. Monitor compliance with information/physical security policies and procedures, and work with the appropriate management to ensure gaps are addressed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Degree in Computer Science OR the equivalent in certificate courses supplemented by systems development in a professional development environment.
2. Degree and training in Criminology/Police Sciences OR the equivalent in certificate courses supplemented by Law Enforcement and Physical Security experience and development.
3. Extensive experience in the application of information security principles and techniques.
4. Extensive experience in the application of Law Enforcement and Physical Security principles and techniques.
