HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
at
Minahik Waskahigan High School
Pinehouse, SK

Minahik Waskahigan High School is a great school dedicated to safety, respect, cultural education and academic achievement for all students.  Minahik Waskahigan has a student population of 416 and a professional staff component of 30.    

This is a full-time, continuing position to commence August 26, 2016. Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes a housing subsidy, Principal?s allowance and a northern living allowance.  Moving assistance may also be available.

The preferred candidate will have:
- a minimum of five years successful teaching experience;
- a minimum of five years successful administrative experience at the elementary, middle and secondary years level;
- graduate academic training in school administration;
- a thorough understanding of elementary and secondary programs;
- strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
- a strong commitment to the schools plus/community schools and safe schools concept;
- familiarity and experience with northern issues;
