Organization Overview:
SAMA is an independent agency with responsibility to the Province of Saskatchewan, and local governments (municipalities). Provincial legislation mandates SAMA to develop and maintain the provinces assessment policies, standards and procedures; audit assessments, and review and confirm municipal assessment rolls; and provide property valuation services to local governments (municipalities).
Position Overview:
Located in our Central Office in Regina, SK, the successful candidate will join SAMAs Information Services Branch as a Programmer Analyst in this full-time, 18 month term position.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Information Services Applications, the incumbent is a member of the Information Services Team that is responsible for providing enhancements and maintenance services for all computer applications.
Provide application support and technical assistance for the Agencys various computer application systems.
Provide ad hoc data extracts.
Provide end user support.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
University degree in a related field or;
Two (2) year diploma from a post-secondary institution and two(2) years programming experience.
Demonstrated software skills using Visual Basic.Net, SQL, and Crystal Reports.
Good problem solving skills, time management, and oral and written communication skills.
A skills assessment/performance test will be used with candidates selected for an interview.
