The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp  Rocanville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Underground Safety Supervisor is responsible for the development, implementation and follow-up on all aspects of the PCS Safety System  PCS Safety Manual, Policies and Procedures Manual, Mine Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, preparation of material for safety meetings, investigation and thorough analysis of all accidents/incidents.

Experience in an underground mining environment in a management role or corresponding experience in the safety area is preferred.  Preference will be given to applicants who hold or are working towards an Occupational Health & Safety Professional designation or equivalent.  The incumbent should be fully experienced in the facilitation of adult learning and, the ability to work with and manage supervisors, subordinates, and bargaining unit personnel is critical.  Good computer skills and, written and oral skills.  Knowledge and experience working in an industrial setting would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check.  All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
