Saskatchewan Blue Cross, one of Saskatchewans Top 100 Companies, is currently recruiting for a permanent full time Business Analyst in the Group Administration Department located in our Saskatoon Office.
SUMMARY
The Business Analyst is responsible for implementation of new or enhanced systems & processes. The successful incumbent is responsible for system & data analysis, developing test plans & documentation, delivering training to end users & providing system expertise to staff.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult with users to gather & effectively capture system requirements & communicate these & the business perspective to management, users & IS&T staff
Responsible for the analysis & design of specifications for improved system functionality of business processes
Develop test plans & create test data that will ensure accuracy & efficiency in attaining desired system functionality
Participate in the development or recommendation & rollout of policies, strategies & communication initiatives
Assist with research & other related projects & duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Commerce with 1-2 years of relevant experience & a strong understanding of information technology
Experience providing business analysis for the development and/or enhancement of a system, with training or project management & knowledge of the Insurance Industry or benefit products & services would be considered assets
Strong attention to detail, analytical & problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather & analyze information, identify solutions & make effective decisions
Must undergo a Reliability Screening & successfully obtain a Reliability Status
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
